Fortinet Network Security Engineer/OT

As a Fortinet Network Engineer, you will work closely with our client’s internal IT and security teams to design, implement, and support Fortinet-based network security solutions. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and optimizing FortiGate firewalls, as well as ensuring the network’s security posture is robust and compliant with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and implement Fortinet-based security solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiAnalyzer, and FortiManager.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Fortinet firewalls to ensure maximum uptime and security.
• Perform network security assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits to identify potential threats and areas of improvement.
• Work with other IT teams to integrate Fortinet solutions with other network and security infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network security issues in a timely manner.
• Provide technical guidance and support for the deployment and configuration of VPNs, SD-WAN, and other Fortinet solutions.
• Develop and maintain documentation on network configurations, security policies, and procedures.
• Stay current on the latest Fortinet product offerings, updates, and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotation and assist with after-hours emergency support, as needed.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in network engineering with a focus on Fortinet products (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager).
• Strong understanding of network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
• Experience with configuring, managing, and troubleshooting FortiGate firewalls, including security policies, NAT, routing, and SSL VPNs.
• Proficient in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF).
• Experience with Fortinet FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of SD-WAN technologies and implementation.
• Certification(s) such as Fortinet NSE4 or higher is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
