Our client is a global professional services leader currently spearheading a multi-year digital transformation initiative for a premier financial services and insurance institution. This is a long-term engagement with a projected duration of at least one year, though it is expected to extend to five years or more. The project focuses on high-level infrastructure and API integration, offering a stable, high-impact environment for a professional looking to oversee complex, large-scale technical ecosystems.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will bridge the gap between technical infrastructure and corporate strategy. You will oversee a mix of PMO governance and technical platform workstreams, specifically focusing on API-driven projects. Your day-to-day will involve running high-level cadences, managing vendor assessments, and ensuring the technical health of the program across DevOps, SRE, and SDLC domains. While this is a non-coding role, you will use your background in software development to ask the right questions, spot architectural gaps, and provide crisp, data-driven updates to C-suite stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Technical Foundation: Prior professional experience in software development, specifically with Java and Spring Boot.

  • API Expertise: Direct experience managing technical projects involving MuleSoft.

  • Project Management: Mastery of PMO discipline, including RAID logs, dependency mapping, and critical path management.

  • Communication: Proven ability to deliver concise, executive-level updates to C-suite stakeholders.

  • Tooling: Proficiency in Jira, ADO, and MS Project for artifact and milestone management.

  • Experience: A track record of "Strategy-to-Execution" leadership in large enterprise environments.

Responsibilities
  • Drive Governance: Execute standups, checkpoints, and Steering Committee meetings; enforce entry/exit criteria.

  • Integrate Planning: Build integrated roadmaps and manage cross-workstream dependencies for Platform and Governance.

  • Executive Liaison: Translate technical complexities into crisp, actionable status reports for corporate leadership.

  • Manage Vendors: Lead third-party assessments and ensure contract and NDA adherence.

  • Technical Oversight: Monitor SDLC and application support workstreams to identify and mitigate risks without being the technical owner.

This position offers a competitive compensation package (Hourly rate + Health Benefits) and the stability of a multi-year project lifecycle. The role follows a hybrid work model based in Lebanon, NJ (conveniently located 30 minutes from Newark Airport). You will join a culture that prioritizes professional growth, disciplined execution, and technical fluency.

You will receive the following benefits:

  • Medical Insurance - Four medical plans to choose from for you and your family
  • Dental & Orthodontia Benefits
  • Vision Benefits
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • Health and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts
  • Voluntary Life Insurance, Long-Term & Short-Term Disability Insurance
  • Hospital Indemnity Insurance
  • 401(k) including match with pre and post-tax options
  • Paid Sick Time Leave
  • Legal and Identity Protection Plans
  • Pre-tax Commuter Benefit
  • 529 College Saver Plan
