Join our client's dynamic Product Development PMO team as a Scrum Master III, where you’ll play a pivotal role in guiding cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, agile-based product deliverables. As a maturing agile organization primarily focused on Scrum, with teams transitioning to Kanban and exploring SAFe, we’re seeking an experienced Agile Coach with strong Project Management expertise. In this role, you’ll lead software development projects, facilitate Scrum ceremonies, and drive efficiency to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to scope. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver agile-based product deliverables, ensuring adherence to Scrum methodologies and processes.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Release Planning, Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives, for multiple product owners in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
- Act as an intermediary between product owners, managers, and team members, identifying, resolving, or escalating issues to minimize delays.
- Set the example for Agile principles, ensuring they are understood and consistently applied within the team.
- Plan and manage release budgets, monitor progress, and provide regular status reports to communicate project updates within and beyond the team.
- Conduct project meetings, such as backlog grooming, leveraging a high-level understanding of projects to drive successful outcomes.
- Evaluate data to make recommendations for process and efficiency improvements.
- Support Agile coaching activities, including leading retrospectives, setting KPIs (e.g., velocity, capacity), and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage key software development projects, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and scope.
- Occasionally run scripts or perform technical tasks on platforms like Google Cloud to support team objectives.
Qualifications:
- Experience:
- 5+ years of Agile coaching experience, with a strong focus on Scrum.
- 5+ years of Project Management experience, including budget management and project delivery.
- Proven experience as a member of a software development team, with a deep understanding of managing software projects from an Agile perspective.
- Technical Skills:
- Preferred (not required): Familiarity with Python, Docker, SQL, or similar technologies.
- Ability to run scripts on platforms like Google Cloud is a plus.
- Industry Knowledge:
- Experience in Payments or Higher Education is not critical but a plus.
- Strong background in software development projects is essential.
- Soft Skills:
- Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead diverse teams through complex projects.
