Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex data systems and architecture to support strategic investment goals.
- Build scalable and high-performance data pipelines to process and integrate large datasets across diverse systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists and business analysts to ensure seamless data flow for modeling and analysis.
- Optimize the storage, retrieval, and processing of financial data across a variety of platforms, including MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Enhance and maintain data processing frameworks that empower the trading desk with real-time insights.
- Write and maintain clean, scalable code to process vast amounts of financial data, ensuring reliability and speed.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and refactoring of data systems to ensure optimized operation.
- Troubleshoot data pipeline issues and resolve production challenges quickly.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in data engineering or a related field, with proven expertise in building production-quality data systems.
- Extensive experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Proficiency in Python, along with familiarity with frameworks like Flask and Pandas.
- Solid knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and advanced data manipulation techniques.
- Expertise in managing large data volumes and ensuring high availability.
- Strong understanding of data integrity, security, and regulatory requirements within the financial sector.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
