Job Description

A fast-growing, venture-backed technology company based in Los Angeles is hiring a full-time Senior DevOps Test Engineer to help build a modern software platform supporting care-based service organizations. This is a fully remote, US-based role focused on building high-quality test automation and DevOps infrastructure to support the full suite of software and mobile applications.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Automation First: Focus on building robust, maintainable automation suites (Playwright) and frameworks.
  • CI/CD Integration: Integrate tests directly into pipelines, ensuring quality gates for every build.
  • Infrastructure Awareness: Understand cloud basics (AWS), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform) to manage test environments. Serverless Framework deploying lambda services, Terraform for infrastructure setup like dynamodb, sns, sqs, cognito, etc.
  • Developer Collaboration: Work closely with devs to design testable code, conduct code reviews, and promote shared quality ownership.
  • Shift-Left Mentality: Start testing early in the development lifecycle, shifting quality left.
  • Spec-Driven Development: writing specifications that become the source of truth and start coding with AI from there. Ensuring test cases are documented in the proper format. Further ensuring test cases documents get transferred into UI and Unit tests.
    • Vitest for state management and unit testing
    • Storybook / vitest for testing UI functionality
    • Maestro for E2E testing
  • Fast Feedback: Implement quick, low-level tests for rapid feedback loops.
  • Quality Advocate: Drive quality processes, metrics, and strategies, acting as a quality expert for the team.
