Our client, a global leader in brand suitability targeting and measurement across the world’s largest platforms, is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to join their team. In this role, you will help build and use state-of-the-art machine learning models, working with multiple terabytes of data. You will implement machine learning algorithms to understand social media posts at scale, using advanced models, including large language models, to build sophisticated AI systems. We are looking for someone passionate about cutting-edge research in machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, and vector databases.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and implement machine learning algorithms to analyze social media posts
- Work with state-of-the-art models, including large language models (LLMs), to create advanced AI systems
- Use large-scale data and cutting-edge technologies to improve targeting and measurement
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and research
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of machine learning and data science
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 7+ years of professional experience in a similar role
- Experience with training classifiers, encoders, and generative models (LLMs) from scratch and via fine-tuning
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, specifically with Snowflake
- Experience with distributed systems and machine learning models
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software design
- Experience with working on LLMs and RAG systems (Computer Vision is a plus)
- Thorough understanding of testing and code review standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Openness to new technologies and creative solutions
Education:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
