A leading global technology organization is seeking a Vice President, Head of Security to lead its security function. This is a strategic executive leadership role responsible for developing long-term security direction while also executing tactical initiatives to reduce risk, safeguard user data, and maintain trust at scale.
This role oversees a multidisciplinary global team and works cross-functionally with leaders in Engineering, Product, Design, Legal, and Compliance. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer and is part of the senior technology leadership team. The goal is to embed security deeply into every layer of the business—from product design to infrastructure—to ensure resilience in the face of evolving threats.

Key Responsibilities-
Define and drive a long-term vision for enterprise-wide security strategy aligned with business priorities and evolving risk landscapes.

Establish measurable security goals and KPIs tied to meaningful risk reduction outcomes.

Serve as the organization’s security voice with external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and board members.

Lead and mentor a high-impact, global security team spanning product security, infrastructure security, threat detection and response, and governance.

Promote a resilient, inclusive, and high-performance team culture focused on continuous learning and operational excellence.

Shape the security organization’s structure and talent strategy to meet evolving needs.

Oversee security operations, including incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection.

Drive “secure by design” practices throughout product development and engineering workflows.

Collaborate closely with other departments to meet regulatory requirements and maintain key industry certifications (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Translate complex technical risks into clear communication for varied audiences, including executives and board members.
Required:

15+ years of experience in security or infrastructure, with at least 5 years at the executive level in large-scale or cloud-native environments.

Demonstrated success leading strategic security programs and building high-performing teams.

Deep knowledge in modern security architecture, identity and access management, secure development practices, and incident response.

Strong executive communication and influencing skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

Experience aligning security practices with business outcomes and enabling innovation at scale.
Preferred:

Experience operating in high-scale SaaS, infrastructure, or platform environments.

Familiarity with regulatory compliance, including direct engagement with boards and regulators.

Knowledge of zero trust architecture and data protection frameworks.

Recognized contributions to the security industry through speaking, research, or open-source projects.
