Position Overview: They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leading the design, development, and integration of complex systems for defense and space applications. This position requires expertise in robotics, software, hardware, and electromechanical systems, as well as a strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  1. Systems Architecture and Design:

    • Lead the development of comprehensive system architectures for defense and space applications.
    • Design and optimize robotics, software, hardware, and electromechanical systems for mission-critical projects.
  2. Integration and Testing:

    • Oversee the integration of subsystems, ensuring seamless functionality and interoperability.
    • Conduct rigorous testing procedures to validate the performance and reliability of integrated systems.
  3. Cross-functional Collaboration:

    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including software engineers, hardware engineers, and other specialists, to achieve project objectives.
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers within the systems engineering team.
  4. Risk Management:

    • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with system development and propose effective mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
  5. Documentation:

    • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including system requirements, specifications, and test plans.
    • Support the creation of technical manuals for end-users and maintenance personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in systems engineering with a focus on defense and space applications.
  • Proven expertise in robotics, software development, hardware integration, and electromechanical systems.
  • Strong proficiency in system modeling tools and simulation software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Security clearance preferred.
