Our client is seeking an IT Depot Technician for a 100% onsite opportunity in Madison, NJ. The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

The IT Depot Technician will oversee depot operations, ensuring the seamless fulfillment of all equipment requests, including onboarding and offboarding of employees and contractors, configuring and setting up equipment, preparing equipment for shipment, handling legal hold requests, and maintaining accurate asset management records, including disposal.

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience installing and maintaining Windows 10, Windows 11, MacOS X operating systems.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, InTune, Encryption (Bit Locker & FileVault), Ivanti, PowerShell, and ServiceNow is highly desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Deployment Toolkit for Imaging.
  • Comprehensive technical understanding of laptop and desktop hardware & peripherals.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Technical proficiency in printers and scanners.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to create, edit, and format documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and emails.
  • Experience with integrating Microsoft Office applications to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
  • Maintains a high level of initiative, dedication, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Skilled in organizing tasks, prioritizing multiple demands, and adapting to changing priorities.
  • Exhibits effective time management skills to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

What You Will Be Doing
Daily Responsibilities
  • Equipment Requisition Fulfillment: Process equipment requisitions based on business needs, including new hire setups, termination arrangements, legal hold requests, and peripheral procurement.
  • Equipment Validation and Procurement: Verify and procure equipment based on availability from internal stock. Collaborate with the Procurement Department to secure additional equipment as needed.
  • Inventory Management and Audit Readiness: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all equipment on hand. Ensure audit readiness by adhering to established inventory management procedures.
  • Hardware Audits and Troubleshooting: Participate in hardware audits to verify equipment status and identify any discrepancies. Perform hands-on troubleshooting, installation, and upgrades of hardware, software, and system configurations.
  • Asset Management System Updates: Ensure the asset management system is updated with accurate information for all equipment, including its current location, status (on hand, in transit, deployed, or pending disposal).
  • Equipment Deployment Preparation: Prepare, test, and configure equipment for deployment to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Equipment Packaging and Shipment: Package and ship equipment efficiently using appropriate boxing, packing materials, and shipping methods.
  • Equipment Disposal: Lead all aspects of the disposal of end-of-life equipment in compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
