Senior Software Engineer / Java / AWS

An IOT company located in McLean, VA is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their well-established team. This company is building an application to empower companies to make fast, informed decisions about the people and assets in the workplace. This a full-time role where you will be working with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes. The expectation for this role is to onsite 5-days per week.

In this role you will be responsible for building state of the art features from scratch. You will be part of the design, development, and deployment of the entire application. If you are a self-starter looking for a place where you can bring new ideas to the table and implement them to improve speed and efficiency this is the place for you! Required Skills & Experience

• 5 years with Java
• Experience using Spring Boot for Microservices
• Exposure to AWS (EC2, Lambdas, S3)
• Kubernetes experience

Desired Skills & Experience

• JavaScript (React, Angular, Vue.js, etc.)
• NoSQL database experience
• Mentorship/Leadership experience

• 90% backend
• 10% frontend
