Title: Financial Analyst IV- Product FP&A
Motion is partnering with a leading business and financial management software company to hire a Senior Financial Analyst supporting product-focused FP&A initiatives within a desktop software portfolio. This is a hybrid contract role based in Mountain View, CA, requiring 1–2 days onsite per week.
This is a highly visible, business-facing role partnering closely with Marketing and Corporate Accounting to drive forecasting, revenue analysis, and financial clarity across the organization.
This opportunity is ideal for someone who not only understands financial modeling and forecasting but can clearly translate complex financial drivers into actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
What You’ll Do

What You’ll Do
- Own and maintain revenue models for assigned product lines (models are established; focus is ongoing forecasting, updates, and refinement)
- Support monthly close activities and perform variance analysis
- Lead quarterly forecast cycles and financial planning processes
- Analyze financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities
- Partner cross-functionally with Marketing and Corporate Accounting teams
- Translate accounting and financial results into simple, business-friendly explanations for leadership
- Prepare executive-ready reporting and presentations
- 3+ years of FP&A experience in a product-based or technology environment
- Experience supporting revenue models or P&L components
- Strong Excel skills (financial modeling, pivots, forecasting support)
- Experience with monthly close and quarterly forecast processes
- Demonstrated ability to communicate financial insights to non-finance business partners
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Experience in SaaS or software environments preferred
