We're looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join a growing engineering team at a high-growth, mission-driven tech startup.
As a Senior SRE, you'll play a crucial role in building and scaling our platform with a strong focus on reliability, performance, and automation. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams to develop and implement best practices that ensure uptime, speed, and security—while mentoring others and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
This position is hybrid 3 days in-office in NYC (Tues, Wed, Thurs)
Responsibilities:

Architect & Automate: Design and build scalable, highly available infrastructure using IaC (Terraform preferred).

Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with software engineers, data teams, and product managers to improve system reliability and performance.

Drive Excellence: Set high standards for observability, incident response, CI/CD, and operational practices.

Lead & Mentor: Support fellow engineers in adopting SRE best practices and encourage a culture of ownership, agility, and innovation.
Requirements:

5+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or related engineering roles—preferably in a startup or high-growth environment.

Strong experience with AWS (VPC, Route 53, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, RDS).

Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions preferred).

Proficient in a modern programming language (Python, Ruby, Go, JavaScript, etc.).

Deep understanding of monitoring, incident management, and observability tools (DataDog a plus).

Experience with Terraform or similar IaC frameworks.
