Senior Risk Management Project / Program Manager

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
• 12+ years of overall experience, with at least half of that time in Risk Management (Operational Risk, Credit Risk, or Model Risk).
• Strong Project / Program management experience.
• Recent experience managing projects and/or quality assurance reviews for a banking institution.
• Must have experience in Risk Management and understanding of regulatory and risk management in the financial services industry.
• Experience in process mapping, process redesign, and process reengineering.
• Excellent communication including the ability to concisely summarize and clearly articulate a problem statement, a solution, deadlines and deliverables clearly to senior members of the organization.
• Must have experience in process mapping, process redesign,
• Experience in Change management.
• Experience using Jira, MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint.
• Very strong soft skills to work with senior stakeholders to achieve goals.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strongly prefer Big 4 experience
• Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are advantageous

 

What You Will Be Doing

• Provide an independent initial assessment and challenge on project and program artifacts during all project phases.
• Work with project managers to remediate data quality deficiencies.
• Execute against multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
• Support in identifying upcoming artifacts due, phase changes, risk and issue maintenance, and required training coming due.
• Escalate past due artifacts, phases, risks, issues, and required training.
• Perform monthly entitlements reconciliation to assure the right roles for the right people.
• Perform routine Jira maintenance to track PQA (project quality assurance) findings.
• Assist with thematic analysis and PowerPoint slide creation.
• Governance and project management oversight.
