Contract Duration: 6-12+ Months
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration.
- 12+ years of overall experience, with at least half of that time in Risk Management (Operational Risk, Credit Risk, or Model Risk).
- Strong Project / Program management experience.
- Recent experience managing projects and/or quality assurance reviews for a banking institution.
- Must have experience in Risk Management and understanding of regulatory and risk management in the financial services industry.
- Experience in process mapping, process redesign, and process reengineering.
- Excellent communication including the ability to concisely summarize and clearly articulate a problem statement, a solution, deadlines and deliverables clearly to senior members of the organization.
- Must have experience in process mapping, process redesign,
- Experience in Change management.
- Experience using Jira, MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint.
- Very strong soft skills to work with senior stakeholders to achieve goals.
- Strongly prefer Big 4 experience
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional), FRM (Financial Risk Manager) are advantageous
What You Will Be Doing
- Provide an independent initial assessment and challenge on project and program artifacts during all project phases.
- Work with project managers to remediate data quality deficiencies.
- Execute against multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Support in identifying upcoming artifacts due, phase changes, risk and issue maintenance, and required training coming due.
- Escalate past due artifacts, phases, risks, issues, and required training.
- Perform monthly entitlements reconciliation to assure the right roles for the right people.
- Perform routine Jira maintenance to track PQA (project quality assurance) findings.
- Assist with thematic analysis and PowerPoint slide creation.
- Governance and project management oversight.
