Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of experience in Risk & Controls in a large global Bank or institution
- Experience in policy development and governance
- Strong project management skills, particularly in change management processes
- Excellent written & verbal skills with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions through concise and clear messaging to senior stakeholders
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Ability to collaborate across different lines (first, second, and third) is important
- Ability to perform independently, organized, and flexible
- Able to thrive in a very fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
- Advanced Degree
- Knowledge and understanding of financial services
- Wholesale Credit Risk or related Risk Management experience
- Consulting background
- Policy development experience.
- Drive the strategic vision and oversight over the lifecycle of the Wholesale Credit Risk Framework, Policy, Standards, and Procedures. The lifecycle will include the development, enhancement, implementation, issuance, periodic review, compliance, and oversight for all Wholesale Credit Risk documents and processes. Collaborate across all businesses across the Firm.
- Support the continued transformation efforts in this area.
- Provide guidance to 1st and 2nd Lines of Defense regarding Policy requirements, interpretations, and compliance.
- Provide strategic input into the development and enhancement of all WCR Policy, Standards, and Procedures, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and simplification. Proactively identify continuous improvement opportunities in the compliance and reviews of Policy and all related documents.
- Engage with Businesses and Global Functions to track and influence the implementation of WCR Policy requirements.
- Lead and participate in all regulatory engagement on WCR Policy and related documents.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders to roll-out timely communications, trainings, newsletters, etc.
