Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (SRE) / NYC / On-site

This is an opportunity to join a fast-paced infrastructure team supporting secure, large-scale deployments of generative AI products for premier financial institutions. This is a full-time, onsite role based in New York City, working with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern observability tooling to help deliver cutting-edge AI systems in highly regulated environments. You’ll work cross-functionally with internal engineering and AI teams, guiding infrastructure best practices, managing on-premise and cloud deployments, and ensuring high availability for AI-powered financial platforms.

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll be responsible for architecting and managing secure cloud environments, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining observability systems. You’ll collaborate with developers and enterprise clients to deploy scalable infrastructure solutions that power complex, data-intensive AI workflows.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related roles

• Strong experience with AWS services (ECS, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, IAM, RDS, MSK)

• Proficiency with Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)

• Experience managing CI/CD platforms (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)

• Solid background in observability and logging frameworks

• Understanding of cloud security and compliance (SOC2, GDPR, ISO)

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with customer-specific, hybrid, or on-premise deployments

• Familiarity with Azure or other cloud providers

• Knowledge of Kafka, gRPC, or microservices architecture

• Background in regulated industries or financial services

• Prior experience supporting large-scale AI/ML infrastructure

• Relevant certifications (AWS Solutions Architect, Terraform, Kubernetes)

• Experience as first infrastructure hire or team lead in a scaling startup
