Founding Fullstack Engineer // React, Typescript, Node

Our client is dedicated to modernizing the software that powers government services, bridging the gap between public sector technology and the private sector. Since their launch in April 2023, they have partnered with government agencies in seven states, serving over 200,000 residents. With $5.5 million in VC funding from Work-Bench and Bienville Capital, they are set to revolutionize government software solutions.

They are seeking a talented fullstack developer to join their growing team. As employee #7 and engineer #2, you'll be instrumental in building products used at scale by cities, counties, and citizens across the United States. You'll be a key part of the team, seeing the direct impact of your work and receiving immediate feedback. Requirements:

• 4+ years of fullstack development experience
• Extensive experience owning features end-to-end
• Strong product mindset with a deep understanding of customer journeys
• Motivated by having a positive impact in the world

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain a workflow management system used by 80,000+ government agencies
• Develop a flexible document generation system for permits and licenses
• Create a seamless payments experience for billions in annual fees and taxes

Location:
The role is based in New York City, with the founders working in person 3-4 days per week at the Manhattan office.
