Founding Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is building AI-native infrastructure to automate the administrative backbone of healthcare. The platform integrates directly into healthcare providers’ operations to streamline complex workflows such as insurance verification, prior authorization, and billing.

The company is initially focused on the home health sector, helping agencies reduce administrative overhead, accelerate payments, and spend more time delivering patient care rather than managing paperwork.

They are seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to help build and scale the foundational systems that power their AI-driven platform.

The Role

In this position, you will design and maintain the infrastructure that supports high-performance AI and automation systems. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security across the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure

• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment

• Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools such as Terraform

• Support and scale systems used for AI/ML training and inference workloads

• Monitor system performance and improve reliability and uptime

• Ensure security and compliance standards are maintained, including healthcare requirements such as HIPAA

• Partner with engineers to optimize infrastructure for performance and cost efficiency

• Build tooling and workflows that enable rapid experimentation and iteration across the platform

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating cloud infrastructure (AWS or similar)

• Strong experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices

• Familiarity with containerization and distributed systems

• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment and take ownership of systems end-to-end

• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting AI/ML infrastructure or data platforms

• Experience working with healthcare systems or HIPAA-compliant environments

• Experience optimizing infrastructure for high-throughput workloads
