Platform Engineer/ New York / Hybrid / Fulltime

An innovative technology company is hiring experienced Platform Engineers to join a centralized Platform team and help scale cloud infrastructure and developer experience during a period of hyperscale growth. This is a full-time role where you’ll focus primarily on infrastructure with some application engineering, building secure, scalable, and high-performance systems that support rapid product development.

This is a unique opportunity to work at massive scale with multi-cloud infrastructure, advanced Kubernetes deployments, and cutting-edge developer tooling. You’ll play a key role in enabling engineering velocity, strengthening security and compliance practices, and shaping the future of platform engineering in a high-growth environment.

Required Skills & Experience
· 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years with infrastructure-as-code in a cloud-first environment
· Strong expertise with Kubernetes and cloud-native technologies 
· Proven experience with Terraform, Terragrunt, or similar for infrastructure automation
· Hands-on experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
· Familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling 
· Comfortable securing and scaling services in Google Cloud Platform
· Proficiency with backend languages such as Python, Go, Node, or Rust

Desired Skills & Experience
· Background in cloud security practices
· Experience with hyperscale testing frameworks
· Strong incident response, observability, and runbook practices
· Contributions to the platform engineering or open-source communities
· Ability to evangelize cloud-native strategies across teams and train engineers on best practices

Tech Breakdown
· 40% Cloud Infrastructure

Daily Responsibilities
· 70% Hands-On Engineering (infrastructure, automation, tooling)
· 20% Collaboration with Platform & Engineering Teams
· 10% Training, Documentation, and Evangelism
