As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing our SAN and network infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, reliability, and scalability of our IT systems while providing leadership and technical guidance to our engineering team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SAN Administration and Optimization:

    • Design, deploy, and manage SAN infrastructure, including configuration and maintenance of storage arrays, switches, and related components.
    • Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of SAN systems through proactive monitoring and performance tuning.
    • Implement and manage data backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions to protect critical data.
  • Network Engineering and Management:

    • Design, implement, and manage complex network architectures, including LAN, WAN, and VPN solutions.
    • Oversee network performance, security, and scalability, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve advanced network issues related to connectivity, routing, switching, and security.
  • Infrastructure Design and Implementation:

    • Lead the design and deployment of scalable and resilient IT infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
    • Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to enhance system performance and efficiency.
  • Leadership and Mentoring:

    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior engineers and IT staff.
    • Develop and implement best practices, standards, and procedures for SAN and network management.
    • Mentor team members and lead complex projects to ensure successful execution and knowledge transfer.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    • Create and maintain detailed documentation of infrastructure configurations, procedures, and system changes.
    • Generate regular reports on infrastructure performance, incidents, and project progress.
  • Security and Compliance:

    • Implement and enforce security policies and controls to protect network and storage systems from threats.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations related to data protection and infrastructure security.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience in SAN administration and network engineering, including advanced knowledge of SAN technologies (e.g., EMC, NetApp) and networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF).
  • Strong experience with network equipment (e.g., Cisco, Juniper) and SAN infrastructure (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI).
  • Expertise in designing and managing large-scale network and storage solutions.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring and guiding technical teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP/CCIE, NetApp Certified Data Administrator, CompTIA Network+) are highly desirable.
