Senior Network Engineer

New York, New York

Remote Local

Full Time

$160k - $200k

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their Global Infrastructure team in a fast-paced, agile environment. In this role, you will support internal teams and manage the network and security infrastructure across multiple venue properties, cloud platforms, and a diverse set of networking technologies. This is a great opportunity to engage in both U.S. and international projects, with strong support for career growth and development.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, build, and maintain network architecture for a multi-tenant, enterprise environment serving both corporate and customer-facing operations.

  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to automate infrastructure provisioning and routine tasks.

  • Lead projects improving network performance — including upgrades to network equipment, codebases, and server/application software.

  • Manage relationships with vendors and service providers to ensure peak performance of the production environment.

  • Build and maintain a network automation platform, as well as cloud- and server-based compute platforms utilizing virtualization, Kubernetes, and containers.

  • Maintain and evolve an AWS-based cloud networking environment.

  • Monitor network health across all properties, proactively identify potential issues, and propose solutions.

  • Participate in regular network operations and be available for on-call rotation when needed.

  • Drive continuous innovation and process improvements — seek out new technologies and implement improvements where possible.

What We’re Looking For (Qualifications)
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience deploying and managing enterprise-scale networks.

  • Strong understanding of core networking concepts — including Layer 2 and 3 routing protocols, multi-site VPN, enterprise WiFi, and cloud networking typical of large WAN architectures.

  • Experience in hosted services environments: networks, hardware, software, and telecommunications.

  • Hands-on experience with Juniper JunOS (SRX, EX, QFX platforms); Cisco IOS and ASA experience is a plus.

  • Familiarity with modern WiFi standards (802.11ax/802.11be) and operational management of WiFi networks.

  • Proficiency in multicast protocols (e.g. IGMP, PIM) and in wide-area networking technologies such as SD-WAN, MPLS, VPLS, and site-to-site VPN tunnels.

  • Experience using network automation and monitoring tools (for example, building/maintaining automation platforms with Ansible).

  • Background in troubleshooting wireless networks, knowledge of IEEE 802.11 standards, RADIUS and AAA accounting.

  • Hands-on experience with Linux server environments (RHEL preferred).

  • Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and systematic testing.

  • Solid foundation in WAN architecture, network security, system design, and virtualized environments (e.g. KVM).

  • A passion for system optimization and building scalable network solutions.

  • Familiarity with issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira) and comfort with flexible responsibilities in a dynamic organization.
