Overview:
Our client is seeking a Robotics Support Engineer to join their technical support team, working either on-site or remotely. The ideal candidate will have a background in software, controls, and electronics—ideally with robotics experience. You will serve as a key point of contact for technical issues involving their robotic system.
Key Responsibilities:
-  Provide support for the robotic automation system, including the robot control server, its API, and integration with the warehouse execution system. 
-  Respond to user inquiries and support requests via chat, email, or phone. 
-  Train and mentor team members on diagnosis and troubleshooting of robotics-related issues. 
-  Develop, update and maintain technical documentation and training materials for both hardware and software components. 
-  Offer technical guidance for software-related issues in the robot control system and ancillary applications. 
-  Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical and firmware problems affecting robotic units. 
-  Address issues related to wireless devices, networking and other IT infrastructure supporting the robotic system. 
-  Track support requests using customer-service management tools, follow up to ensure full resolution, and produce reports on recurring problems. 
-  Install or configure software solutions as part of issue resolution. 
-  Coordinate closely with other internal teams (software, controls, mechanical, installation) to resolve complex client issues. 
-  Provide after-hours support when needed. 
-  Act as a liaison to the development team for the robot control system, assisting with functional requirements, testing, lab validation, and help-desk escalations. 
-  Provide on-site support to project implementation teams when required and ensure smooth system turnover including training and go-live assistance. 
Qualifications:
-  Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. 
-  Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field. 
-  Ability to interpret circuit diagrams, 3D models and 2D drawings (e.g., AutoCAD). 
-  Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required. 
-  Experience installing, configuring, testing, and supporting large control systems or material-handling systems is a plus. 
-  Working knowledge of SQL and other database formats. 
-  Basic competency with Windows and Linux operating systems, networking fundamentals, Cisco switches/access points or similar is desired. 
-  Willingness to relocate to Orlando, FL and travel to client sites as needed.
