Cloud Network Engineer/Azure/Cisco/Automation

Are you looking to join a company based in the Philadelphia area as a Network Engineer with an emphasis on Cloud?

As a Cloud Network Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing cloud networking solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practices. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide network solutions that support cloud infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations and performance across various platforms.
You should have at least 9 + years managing and building out Networks in AWS and/or Azure.
This role is HYBRID in Philadelphia, PA. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & Implementation: Collaborate with IT architects to design, implement, and manage cloud network infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Network Optimization: Monitor network performance and optimize for scalability, low latency, and high availability.
• Security Management: Ensure network security policies are enforced, including encryption, firewalls, and access control.
• Troubleshooting: Provide network troubleshooting and performance tuning in cloud environments.
• Automation: Utilize scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) to automate network operations and configuration tasks.
• Collaboration: Work with DevOps and cloud teams to integrate networking solutions with cloud-native applications and services.
• Documentation & Reporting: Create and maintain network documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for cloud networking and security.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 9 years as a Network Engineer with a focus on cloud technologies.
• Cloud Platform Expertise: In-depth knowledge of at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
• Networking Skills: Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, BGP, etc.) and cloud networking components (VPC, Subnets, Load Balancers).
• Scripting/Automation: Proficient in scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and network configuration management.
• Certifications: Preferred certifications include AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer, or equivalent cloud network certifications.
• Security Knowledge: Experience with security principles and tools in cloud networks, such as firewalls, DDoS protection, VPNs, and IAM roles.
• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
