Remote Senior Network Automation Engineer/Ansible/Python/Cisco

A well-known Healthcare company is looking for a Senior Network Automation Engineer with expirence with Anible, Python and Cisco.

As a Senior Network Automation Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated network solutions that ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and execute automation strategies that enhance our network operations and support our business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Automation Development: Design, implement, and manage automation frameworks and tools to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and management processes.
• Scripting and Programming: Develop scripts and applications using Python, Ansible, Terraform, or other relevant languages/tools to automate network tasks and improve operational efficiency.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Collaboration: Work with network architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement in network operations.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Implement monitoring solutions to detect and resolve network issues proactively. Develop diagnostic tools and automated responses to minimize downtime and enhance network reliability.
• Documentation and Best Practices: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, network configurations, and operational procedures. Establish and enforce best practices for network automation and management.
• Project Leadership: Lead and participate in projects related to network automation, including planning, execution, and post-deployment review.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent) are a plus.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years focused on network automation.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in network automation tools and platforms such as Ansible, Terraform, and Python. Strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS) and architectures (e.g., SD-WAN, Cloud networking).
• Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze complex network issues and develop effective solutions.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Project Management: Experience managing and leading technical projects, with a track record of delivering results on time and within scope.
