Senior Network Engineer/Cisco/AWS

Are you looking to join a team of about three others as the Senior Engineer? This company is looking for someone who can remain hands on as well as a technical decision maker.

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our clients' network infrastructures, with a strong focus on AWS environments. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to lead complex projects, ensuring seamless connectivity and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and highly available network architectures in AWS.
• Manage and optimize existing network configurations, including routing, switching, and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve network issues promptly.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.
• Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend best practices.
• Conduct network performance monitoring and analysis to ensure optimal operation.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for network configurations and processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on AWS.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as VPC, Route 53, Direct Connect, and security features.
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VPNs.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNP) are a plus.
• Local candidates from the Philadelphia area are highly preferred.
