Senior DevOps Engineer/ AWS / Ruby / IaC / Remote

This company is a modern media and publishing company that’s reshaping how print and digital content is delivered. As they continue to scale their platform, they’re looking for their first dedicated DevOps hire. You should be someone who can take ownership of infrastructure, streamline deployments, and build out a true DevOps Center of Excellence. This is a fully remote opportunity.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
• Strong experience with AWS and modern cloud infrastructure
• Solid understanding of CI/CD tooling and deployment strategies
• Someone who loves building process from scratch, not just maintaining what’s already there
• Comfortable collaborating with product teams and developers to shape DevOps culture
• Bonus: experience migrating apps off Heroku, or familiarity with tools like Kamal, Terraform, or Pulumi

What You Will Be Doing

• Own DevOps end to end — you're stepping into a greenfield opportunity to design and implement the foundational strategy for ops
• Lead migration to AWS
• Define CI/CD best practices
• Standardize deployments — streamline how applications are built, tested, and shipped
• Build tooling and automation
• Collaborate with engineers to improve reliability, observability, and performance
• Introduce infrastructure-as-code and other scalable practices to support the company’s growth
