A leading company in the financial industry is looking to bring on an Application Security Architect to support a growing need for secure, cloud-native architecture across their enterprise systems. This team is specifically focused on modernizing application security practices in a GCP environment and is looking for a hands-on architect with deep knowledge of secure development, cloud architecture, and DevSecOps principles.

Contract Duration: 6-12 months
Required Skills & Experience
- Minamum of 7 years of experience in roles focused on application security, secure software development or security architecture
- At least 3 years of direct experience working with GCP services such as IAM, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Functions, VPCs and Cloud Armor
- Strong grasp of core GCP concepts across compute, storage, networking, data handling and security configurations
- In depth knowledge of secure software development practices and patterns commonly used in cloud environments including microservices, containerization and CI/CD pipelines
- Proven track record of embedding security measures within CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins, GitHub and GitHub Actions
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, Go or Node.js
- Solid familiarity with key security standards and risk models, including the OWASP Top 10, SANs CWE Top 25, and frameworks like STRIDE for threat modeling
- At least one security cert such as GDSA, GCAD, GWAT, GWEB, GPEN, GCPN, or GXPN
- Certifications such as SBSA, TOGAF or GCP PCA are a big plus
