Description: Brand Purchasing Support Associate
Pay rate: $23.50/hour (no incentive/bonus/commission)
*Bill rate - 33.50 Client BR (supplier submittal rate is 32.57)
Manager: Twyla Hornsby
Potential to convert: Unknown at this point.
Length of contract: 6 month contract at this point.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, core hours.
Remote/Onsite - HQ location for training (onsite). Then after training it will be Hybrid (3 days a week, 2 days week, Wednesdays are onsite and any other day of choice).

Training - Hiring manager and other person will be training.
Skills/Experience: Communication skills (verbal & written). Customer Service experience. A couple years of experience in Accounting, AP/Purchasing experience and background (invoices, payments, billing). Understanding Freight (claims, and processes), is a plus! SalesForce experience, is a huge plus but they can teach this.
Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Good customer service and sales skills. Basic familiarity with CRM system preferred. Organizational and tracking skills.
More about this role: Selling furniture and carpets - once orders are placed, this person handles customer service. Working with suppliers - negotiating resolutions.
Job Purpose: Provides customer support by assisting members after sales issues from beginning to end.
Essential Job Results: Provides customer support by assisting members in the purchase, shipment and/or return of products.
Resolves after-the-sale issues from beginning to end. Tracks shipments, processes product returns, follows-up on freight billings/claims.
Ensures effective service by interfacing with both internal and external customers to include members, suppliers, freight carriers, accounting, sales and/or purchasing staff. Responds to inquiries on products or orders. Negotiates win-win resolutions.
Facilitates the purchasing process by researching product information, pricing or order/shipment status. May handle payment issues, member credits, and check requests.
Provides administrative support by generating, editing, initiating or responding to correspondence as needed.
Establishes and maintains files, libraries and/or record keeping systems.
Maintains customer service or sales information by tracking and entering information into automated systems. May provide activity reports as requested.

May follow-up on import regulations and documentation to help ensure compliance.
May develop new and help retain Supply business by placing outbound calls to members. Provides guidance to help members make better purchasing decisions.
Experience: Minimum 12 to 18 months related customer service, sales and/or purchasing experience.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent certification.
Accountability: Works under direct supervision and follows established procedures and instructions to accomplish assigned tasks. Works under minimal supervision.
Leadership: Exhibits appropriate self and time management to successfully accomplish assigned tasks.
Knowledge: Familiar with general office procedures including operation of common office equipment. Basic knowledge of Companys products and services.
Relationship Management. Intermediate customer service and telesales skills.
Convinces others to offer favorable terms. Demonstrates advanced interpersonal skills
Strong negotiation and decision making skills
Problem Solving: Resolves routine problems using established policies and guidelines.
Researches anomalies and checks documents for accuracy. Understands process flow.
