This is a full-time, direct hire position supporting a global network that spans both on-premises and AWS environments. The role involves working with AWS services like VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, and Network Firewall, while also using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Python to automate and optimize network operations. Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or cloud infrastructure roles
  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS networking services including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, and Network Firewall
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals such as TCP/IP, BGP, IPSec, DNS, NAT, and IPv4/IPv6
  • Experience managing and securing hybrid network environments (on-prem and cloud)
  • Proficiency with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Cisco, or Fortinet
  • Familiarity with automation and Infrastructure as Code tools including Terraform, Ansible, and Python
  • Experience using Git or GitHub for version control
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex network environments
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience working in or supporting AWS GovCloud environments
  • Background in network architecture or cloud infrastructure design
  • Familiarity with load balancing, service mesh networking, and traffic optimization tools
  • Knowledge of security best practices for cloud networking, including IAM policies and segmentation
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, or Splunk
  • Previous involvement in automating network deployments or CI/CD integrations for infrastructure
  • Strong documentation habits and the ability to create detailed network diagrams or configuration records
  • Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Advanced Networking, CCNP, or Palo Alto PCNSE
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fully remote setting
  • A proactive, curious mindset with an eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies
