Job Description
A client of ours is looking for a data scientist that is willing to lead a team of data scientists and software engineers. They are looking for a leader to not only lead a team technically but someone who is willing to work in close collaboration with global business leaders to be the bridge between business and tech.
This team is going to be building new data science models to be able to predict new business opportunities. They also want to update their models on predicting when they need new parts for their machinery.
This is a remote opportunity, but they can only hire someone in the state of Arizona and there will be occasional planning sessions that take place in the office. Required Skills & Experience

- Proficiency in Python and SQL programming.
- Ability to visualize data using programmatic techniques.
- Data manipulation and cleaning.
- Model selection, training, validation, and deployment.
- Experience developing and leading teams.
- Strong communication skills, including storytelling with data and public speaking to large audiences.
- Statistics & Statistical Modeling, including Time-Series Modeling.
- Neural Networks / Deep Learning.
- Working knowledge of MLOps/DevOps concepts (e.g., Version Control, CI/CD, Trunk-Based Development, Test-Driven Development).
- Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning Environment.
- Understanding of Software Engineering and Object-Oriented Programming principles.
- Collaboration with Data Architecture, Engineering, and ETL teams.
- Experience with problem-solving and root cause analysis on production workloads.
