Senior Staff DevOps Engineer

We are partnering with a growing organization to hire a Senior Staff Cloud DevOps Engineer to lead cloud-native infrastructure strategies across AWS and Kubernetes. This is a high impact, senior level role focused on architecture, scalability, security, and long-term technical transformation. You’ll work closely with engineering leadership and executive stakeholders to shape cloud strategy while remaining hands on with complex system.

This is a true staff level opportunity where you’ll influence enterprise-wide cloud and DevOps decisions not just execute tickets. You’ll architect large scale EKS environments, lead modernization initiatives, and drive best practices across CI/CD, observability, and cloud security. If you enjoy owning technical direction, mentoring engineers, and building systems that scale securely at enterprise level, this role gives you the platform to do exactly that.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field
  • 9+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • 7+ years of hands-on AWS cloud architecture experience
  • 7+ years of hands-on Kubernetes experience (deep cluster management expertise)
  • Expert level proficiency in Python or Go
  • Strong experience designing enterprise-scale IaC frameworks
  • Deep understanding of containerization, orchestration, and cloud networking
  • Proven experience building and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across distributed systems
  • Experience leading PoCs and evaluating emerging technologies
  • Excellent communication skills with both technical teams and executive leadership
Desired Skills & Experience
  • AWS Professional certifications (Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer)
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA, CKAD, CKS)
  • Multi-cloud experience (AWS+GCP)
  • Experience with distributed databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, serverless DBs)
  • Configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet)
  • Experience building knowledge bases or DevOps documentation systems
  • Open-source contributions or strong personal cloud projects
