Cloud Platform Engineer

Our client, a holding company for fast food brands, is looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join their SRE engineering team. In this role, you’d be responsible for everything from the design to the maintenance of their AWS and GCP environments.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in cloud devops engineering and experience programming with Golang. They need someone who can help build out their service mesh components, CI/CD pipeline flows, and containers. Tech wise, they’re looking for someone experienced with AWS and/or GCP cloud services, EKS, Git, Rancher, and Golang.

This is a 6month contract to hire, hybrid (1-2 days onsite) in Plano, Texas. Compensation is $75-80/hr converting over to $150-160K depending on experience.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong background in cloud devops engineering – preferably with AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience building out CI/CD pipeline flows and containers utilizing tools like the Git suite and Kubernetes.
• Golang programming proficiency.
• Rancher or service mesh experience.
• Strong collaborative skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Bachelors or masters in Computer Science, or related field.
• Technical certifications a plus (AWS Cloud DevOps, GCP Cloud, etc).
