Their team is comprised of talented professionals dedicated to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

They are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of their engineering department, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing embedded software solutions for their defense and space systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Embedded Software Development: Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded software solutions for mission-critical defense and space applications.

  2. System Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software with hardware components and other subsystems.

  3. Requirements Analysis: Work closely with system architects and stakeholders to analyze and understand software requirements, translating them into efficient and robust embedded software designs.

  4. Code Review and Optimization: Conduct code reviews, identify areas for optimization, and implement best practices to ensure high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code.

  5. Testing and Debugging: Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans, perform debugging, and resolve issues to ensure software reliability in challenging environments.

  6. Documentation: Create and maintain clear and detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

  7. Adherence to Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and security protocols in all software development activities.

  8. Mentoring and Collaboration: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

  2. Proven experience (3+ years) in embedded software development for defense or aerospace applications.

  3. Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++, as well as experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS).

  4. Strong understanding of embedded systems architecture, hardware-software interaction, and communication protocols.

  5. Familiarity with version control systems, build tools, and debugging tools.

  6. Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.

  7. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  8. Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one) is highly desirable.
