Contract
Description: Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of a systems project or program involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a computer-based system from the design process through a finished state for internal/external customers. Provides a single point of contact for projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Interfaces with all areas affected by the project including end users, computer services, and client services. Defines project scope and objectives. Oversees/coordinates all aspects of project and serves as project manager between clients, systems, line management and other departments. Plans and directs schedules as well as project budgets. Monitors the product/program/project from initiation through delivery, interfacing with customer on technical and non-technical matters. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, budgets, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks, and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. May provide technical/analytical guidance to project team. Recommends/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems.
***Project Execution
Responsible for end-to-end execution and on time, on budget and on scope delivery of the project
Responsible for Financial Management, Risk Management and Dependency management for the project
Responsible for developing a comprehensive project plan
Works with the resource manager on the resource planning for the project
Accountable for maintaining the RAAIDD log
Escalates when required and holds people accountable for mitigation and resolution of risk and issues
Works with Project Accountants to get information for Financial Management on the project
Responsible for managing changes in project scope, objectives, requirements, and resources and adherence to change control policies
Collaborates with solution team to take the project through change control process when required
Collaborates with other project managers for dependencies and manages them with minimal impact to delivery
Manages and tracks interdependencies and interfaces with related projects
Collaborates with the solution team to ensure adherence to release management practices on the project
Accountable and responsible for receiving Go-No-Go Signoff
Holds delivery teams accountable for the development of architecture design document, test plans, deployment and hypercare plan
***Reporting & Communication
Sets and manages stakeholder expectations
Responsible for project level governance and status reporting to right stakeholders at cadence
Keeps the Portfolio Lead and Program Manager informed on all the risks, issues and dependencies on the projects and seeks helps when necessary
Responsible for issuing a communication close out email for the project and other close out activities including updating Clarity and retrospectives
Responsible for issuing communications for major changes (Before and after the change) that affect multiple applications and/or stores
***People Leadership
Set vision for the project, analysis and resolves issues.
Understand the teams perspectives and protects the team by negotiating with stakeholders as required.
***Process, Tools, Standards, and Continuous Improvement
Accountable to follow ADUSA IT processes and ensures all artifacts are produced and phase gates approvals are obtained
Coaches and mentors, the project team on the process and tools
Provide feedback and recommendations to improvement of ADUSA IT processes
This role is to work on Infrastructure projects, therefore experience in Infrastruvcture is a must (Network implementations, Data Center/virtualization or implementation in stores)
The candidate must be excellent with communications with senior leadership, peers and technical teams. Candidate needs to drive to results in ambiguous situations, follow processes and creating artifacts (Or ensuring that those are created) and have experience managing directly Financials (Purchase Orders, actuals Accruals, forecats).
This is mainly Waterfall methodology, however the mindset needs to be agile to remove blockers, solution situations with the teams or escalate as necessary
Example of projects to handle:
Lead Implementation of network devices in stores, Distribution Centers and Corporate offices with the help of vendor/partners. It could include purchase Hardware, implementation of such hardware, communicating to stores to get implementation approvals
Lead Implementation of back office devices in stores, Distribution Centers and Corporate offices with the help of vendor/partners
