A cutting-edge biometric technology company in Reston, VA is looking to add a Solutions Architect to the team. They will be responsible for crafting technology solutions that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to gather business requirements, evaluate current systems and processes, and develop architectural frameworks that ensure scalability, security, and performance.
The Solutions Architect will be responsible for creating comprehensive blueprints to integrate new technologies and optimize existing systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Additionally, you'll validate that the final solutions meet the established specifications, providing technical leadership and guiding the organization through industry changes to support long-term business goals.

Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of experience in technical roles within software development.
- 3+ years of experience in software systems architecture.
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and technical systems documentation.
- Proven background in developing complex, distributed systems in production environments.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming framework (.NET preferred).
- Experience using architecture frameworks (e.g., C4, DoDAF, TOGAF, Archi) and technical documentation standards (e.g., UML, OpenAPI) to specify systems.
- Strong ability to quickly learn and understand new complex industries and technical domains.
- Exceptional technical writing and presentation skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including clients and vendors, and translate technical language into accessible terms
- Experience in border security or intelligence domains.
- Architecture certifications such as TOGAF, AWS CSA – Professional, Zachman, Archimate, CEA, CPCA, or MS Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies like biometric systems, artificial intelligence and machine learning, computer vision, blockchain, decentralized identifiers, and others.Enter Here
