Business Intelligence Engineer / PowerBI / DAX

We are seeking a talented PowerBI Engineer to join a leading enterprise insurance company dedicated to providing innovative solutions. Specialized in leveraging advanced technologies to optimize our operations and enhance our offerings, we’re looking for someone to leverage cutting-edge BI solutions to create models, reports and dashboards within a Microsoft environment.
We are looking for someone who has experience working with large amounts of financial data to partner with leadership and SMEs to support future business growth.

Required Skills & Experience

• A relevant technical BS Degree in Information Technology and 5 years of experience, or 8 years of relevant professional experience implementing MS BI and/or Power BI reports and dashboards
• 6+ years writing SQL queries against any RDBMS with query optimization
• Strong Expertise in Power BI tools, including Power Query, DAX, and SQL languages for advanced data processing
• Exerience building and maintaining semantic models in PowerBI or SSAS Tabular

Desired Skills & Experience

• Knowledge of database and data warehouse fundamentals such as tabular database design, relational database design, star and snowflake schemas, and more.
• Experience with SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), including Tabular Model Development.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, Azure DAta Factory, and Snowflake.
• Good understanding of unit testing, software change management, and software release management
