Senior Machine Learning Engineer / Hybrid in North County San Diego / NLP

A mission-driven mental healthcare company based in North County San Diego is looking to bring on a Staff Machine Learning Engineer in a hybrid model to help expand their AI capabilities. This is a full-time role working on impactful products designed to improve access to mental health care. You'll work hands-on with Python, Django, BERT, AWS, Snowflake, and NLP techniques, helping to build and deploy ML models in production.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years in machine learning or applied AI roles
• Proficient in Python, Django, and deep learning frameworks
• Experience with NLP models, especially BERT or similar architectures
• Strong cloud experience, ideally AWS
• Background in production-level deployment and data pipelines
• Familiarity with Snowflake or modern data platforms

• Passion for mental healthcare or mission-driven companies
• Prior experience working on voice, transcription, or classification projects
• Ability to lead architecture decisions and mentor junior engineers
• Solid understanding of scalable ML infrastructure
