Senior Software Engineer, Backend / Contract / Remote

Exciting Senior Software, Backend opportunity with an established firm. 
Contract Duration: 10 months – 100% remote opportunity. May extend to 12 months.
Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field 5+ years programming experience, ideally on a modern stack
• Our core stack is Java/ Kotlin/ Spring / PostgreSQL/ React, and we run on Kubernetes in a service oriented architecture with over 100 services in production
• 3+ years Java or Kotlin programming experience
•  A solid understanding of relational databases and ORMs Experience working on a SOA or microservice-based application.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves, collaborate with others and get stuff done
• Solid sense of responsibility; driving a project from inception to completion
• Experience working in a collaborative coding environment, refining designs together, working through code reviews and managing pull requests View Unit and Integration test as 1st class citizen in software development
• Desire to grow, learn and collaborate with a team of engineers.

• Desired Skills & Experience
  Full-stack experience, either toward systems (kafka, temporal, docker, posix), databases (postgres), or front-end (javascript/typescript, react)
