Lead Embedded Engineer / Hybrid

A growing startup is hiring a Lead Embedded Software Engineer to work on their devices that help people in need. This is a fulltime, hybrid position in San Francisco or Chicago. They are looking for strong experience in Embedded C and C++ development, but Rust is also a bonus. The devices are extremely low power so any experience with Zephyr is helpful. Outside of technical expertise, they are looking for strong leadership skills. Previous experience leading and mentoring other engineers and driving project initiatives will help you hit the ground running in this position.

Required Skills & Experience

• Expertise in embedded C, C++, and/or Rust
• Strong experience with Linux
• Microprocessor/controller experience
• Experience leading and mentoring teams
• BS in Computer Engineering, or similar

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with RF and BLE
• Experience with ZephyrOS
• MS or PhD
