Senior Software Engineer / Hybrid or Remote / Typescript / Next.js

An AI-driven education technology startup is hiring a Full Stack Engineer to help build the next generation of online learning. The ideal candidate has strong experience in modern web development (60/40 split between frontend and backend) and a passion for reimagining how people learn with AI. You’ll work on projects like AI tutors, AI-assisted course creation, and the core learning platform used by thousands of learners and enterprise partners.

This is a full-time, direct hire role with a hybrid schedule — a few days per week onsite in San Mateo, CA. Remote options are available for candidates based in the U.S. or Canada.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who loves building from the ground up, shipping end-to-end features, and shaping product and technical decisions early in a company’s journey.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering

• Proficiency in full stack development across frontend and backend

• Strong skills in JavaScript, TypeScript, Go, Python, or Java

• Experience building or integrating AI/ML products

• Expertise in the full software development lifecycle — from design to deployment

• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
