Our client in the government consulting space is looking for a hands-on Chief Cloud Engineer in Tampa Bay, Florida. This is a hybrid, direct-hire opportunity.

This is the opportunity to join as one of the first hires in their Tamba Bay site for a brand-new project, with more greenfield opportunities within the company to come down the line. You will take ownership on the architecture and implementation of all container orchestration and cloud technologies. Ideally, candidates possess great communication skills and can serve as our client’s representative at this new office for their customer. Required Skills & Experience
  • Candidates must be US Citizens and be willing to obtain a TS/SCI clearance (client will sponsor this process if it is not already in place).
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud and Kubernetes architecture
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience facilitating cloud deployments (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience building and deploying Kubernetes Clusters
  • Experience with IaC such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Experience working in a Linux environment
  • Great communication skills (to communicate with customers and internal leadership)
  • Candidate must be willing to go on-site as needed in South Tampa, FL
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience building cloud and infrastructure in a DoD environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. Certified Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) preferred

Daily Responsibilities
  • 50-100% architecture (will vary at points in project)
  • 50-100% hands on
  • Point of contact for leaders within the company
