A leading financial services organization in Toronto is seeking a senior-level QA Automation Engineer for a 6-month hybrid contract.
This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in high-compliance environments and are skilled in designing test architectures, influencing release strategies, and mentoring QA teams. You’ll work hands-on with modern tools like Playwright, Pact, Terraform, and Testcontainers while ensuring robust test automation coverage across complex distributed systems.
Expect deep engagement with AWS cloud services, CI/CD infrastructure, and collaboration across engineering, DevOps, and product teams.

Proven expertise in QA/QE automation frameworks and test architecture within complex environments

Hands-on experience with tools like Playwright, Pact, Testcontainers, Katalon, or ReadyAPI

Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript, along with CI/CD pipeline integration

Exposure to infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and AWS services (ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch, API Gateway)

Experience leading or mentoring QA teams, particularly in regulated or financial domains

Familiarity with contract testing and service virtualization in microservices-based systems
