Senior Security Architect/ GKE

Join a global digital media platform on a mission to make reading more accessible and enjoyable. As part of a growing cybersecurity function, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the security architecture of a hybrid cloud environment, with a strong emphasis on Google Cloud Platform. This is a high-impact opportunity for a seasoned Cloud Security Professional to influence technical direction, drive secure-by-design practices, and mentor a collaborative team through a critical phase of cloud transformation.

You'll be embedded in architecture and engineering discussions from the ground up—designing secure systems across GCP and on-prem environments, reviewing critical applications and infrastructure, and ensuring infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipelines meet modern security standards. Expect to work with engineers and stakeholders across the organization, translating requirements into secure technical solutions that scale.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in cybersecurity, with at least 3 years focused specifically on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) security architecture or engineering

• Deep experience designing secure cloud-native solutions, including infrastructure-as-code (IaC) and integrating security into CI/CD workflows

• Solid grasp of GCP-native security tools and cloud security best practices, including relevant compliance frameworks

Desired Skills & Experience

• Familiarity with threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, and incident response workflows in cloud and hybrid environments

• Prior experience bridging on-premises infrastructure with cloud platforms in a hybrid security context

• Strong mentoring skills and experience leading technical discussions around cloud security architecture
