Senior Data Engineer

We are a family office for investment management & capital advisory, focused on quantitative strategies, is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its dynamic team. In this role, you will work closely with data scientists, engineering leads, and teams in product development and research to design and implement internal systems and tools that enhance investment strategies and research efforts. The position requires strong communication abilities, a self-driven approach to both individual and collaborative projects, adaptability in taking on various responsibilities, and a proactive mindset to support team objectives. The Senior Data Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining tools that will benefit analysis processes for various sectors of the business, while also building systems to analyze new investment strategies and simulation capabilities. The role includes assisting in the creation of tools to streamline data association mappings and expand the company’s data source catalog, as well as overseeing the integration of new data sources to current tools. Additionally, the engineer will provide ad hoc data research support, lead efforts in data cleaning, organization, and analysis, ETL development, and drive architectural design initiatives to address the company’s data and computing needs, ensuring seamless integration across the technology stack. Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
• 4+ yrs. of experience in Software/Data Engineering
• Exp. with performing data analysis, data ingestion and data integration
• Strong familiarity with Python
• Strong familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Strong familiarity with non-relational databases (MongoDB)
• Experience with market and investment data
• Experience serving applications
