My client, a growing cybersecurity consulting firm, is seeking a Firewall Engineer to join their expanding team. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity requiring 2-3 days onsite in Manassas, VA, or Washington, D.C. Candidates must be able to successfully obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Role Overview:
The Firewall Engineer will play a key role in managing, securing, and optimizing network infrastructure, ensuring seamless firewall operations and compliance with security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Firewalls including; upgrades, policy administration, and validation.
  • Knowledge of multiple Firewall types: Check Point and Palo Alto
  • Review and implement changes consistent with existing Firewall policies.
  • Review and update documentation to ensure consistency with current procedures.
  • Manage and tune other hardware and software such as IDS/IPS, URL Filtering, Application Control, Antivirus, Advanced Malware detection).
