Senior Software Engineer

A thriving startup in Washington, DC, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their expanding team. While they're open to candidates from diverse backgrounds, experience with their tech stack is preferred. Their technology suite includes TypeScript, React, Python, Postgres, AWS, and various Python data libraries for machine learning and data engineering.

This innovative company serves 1,500 active customers who use their AI data platform for user and network analysis, determining the viability of points of interest, and deciding on whether or not to invest time in them. Thanks to their platform's success and a high volume of referrals, the company has already achieved profitability. They recently secured a series round of funding to build on their momentum and expand their technical team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across their tech stack, lead the design and implementation of new features, and execute plans with minimal barriers. This position also offers hands-on experience with the entire machine learning process, including data pipelining, data infrastructure, and model development, as well as scaling backends and databases with millions of data points.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of professional experience in software development with most/all of the tools listed above
• Experience with modern web application development
• Experience with full stack development, either leaning towards the front end or back end
• Experience with cloud engineering

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with mobile application development
• Experience with full life cycle machine learning development
