As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our client’s IT infrastructure. As a Systems Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our client’s IT infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems that support core organizational functions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to managing complex IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deploy scalable, reliable, and secure systems and networks
- Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications
- Implement and manage system backups, disaster recovery plans, and data protection measures
- Perform regular system updates and maintenance to ensure optimal performance
- Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and IT staff
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or a similar role
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, and security measures
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus
