$180k - $215k

An innovative technology organization specializing in large-scale data and machine learning systems is seeking a Data Scientist to join its growing analytics and modeling team. This role sits at the intersection of data analytics, applied machine learning, and product development—focused on turning high-dimensional sensor data into actionable insights and improving the performance of edge-deployed models.

Because this team supports government and military clients, U.S. citizenship is required for consideration.

This is a fulltime, fully remote role, offering an opportunity to contribute to a mission-driven team that values experimentation, data integrity, and end-to-end ownership. Required Skills & Experience
  • U.S. citizenship required due to the nature of government and defense-related projects.
  • 3–5 years of experience in applied data science, analytics engineering, or machine learning, with proven ability to translate raw data into production-ready insights or tools.
  • Proficiency in Python and common data science libraries such as pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, matplotlib/seaborn, and SQL.
  • Experience working with time-series, geospatial, or sensor data in production or research environments.
  • Strong grasp of statistical modeling techniques including clustering, regression, and anomaly detection.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
  • Experience with ML operations concepts such as dataset versioning, data labeling workflows, and model monitoring.
  • Background supporting or analyzing ML systems at the edge, or within aerospace, automotive, or defense domains.
  • Comfort developing data pipelines, dashboards, or internal analytics tools that improve visibility and model feedback loops.
  • A curious, experimental mindset with interest in leveraging AI/ML techniques to optimize real-world systems and operational intelligence.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, interdisciplinary teams involving both product and engineering functions.
What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown: • 60% data analysis, model evaluation, and pipeline development & 40% cross-functional collaboration, visualization, and production integration
Daily Responsibilities: • Analyze structured and unstructured data from distributed field systems to identify trends, outliers, and performance gaps. • Develop scalable analytics workflows to support dashboards, reporting, and customer-facing intelligence products. • Collaborate with modeling teams to design feedback mechanisms that drive continuous learning and model retraining. • Contribute to the design of metrics that evaluate perception and detection model performance over time. • Build internal tools for data visualization, metric tracking, and experimentation. • Ensure data quality through validation, schema enforcement, and anomaly detection processes. The Offer You will receive the following benefits:
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage options
  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible work hours and the option for remote work.
  • Opportunities for professional development and continued education.
