Lead AI/Data Scientist

We’re working with an AI SaaS startup in the D.C. area that’s transforming how cities plan for safer, more accessible, and more efficient transportation systems. Their platform leverages artificial intelligence to deliver real-time insights used by government agencies and planners to reduce traffic incidents and ensure ADA compliance.

They’re currently looking to bring on a PrincipalLlevel Data Scientist with deep experience in natural language processing (NLP) and predictive modeling. In this role, you’ll build and deploy machine learning models that support traffic safety, mobility, and city infrastructure planning. You’ll work cross-functionally with product and engineering teams and help scale AI systems that directly impact how cities operate.


The position will be hybrid (2-3 days on site) in DC

Key Requirements:

• 5+ years in data science or machine learning roles, ideally in fast-paced or mission-driven environments

• Strong background in NLP, predictive modeling, and AI applications

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data science libraries

• Experience working with large datasets and scalable data architectures

• Familiarity with geospatial data, transportation, or civic tech is a plus

This opportunity requires ability to work in the US without visa transfer or sponsorship.
