Junior Systems Engineer/Onsite

Our client, a dynamic and innovative organization in SaaS field, is seeking a motivated and proactive Junior Systems Engineer to join their growing team. As a Junior Systems Engineer, you will support various system administration, integration, and troubleshooting tasks within the IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of system infrastructure and network environments.
• Provide day-to-day support for system operations, ensuring uptime and optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Help configure, monitor, and optimize servers, databases, and network systems.
• Support and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Participate in the installation and configuration of new systems and software applications.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and other departments to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
• Maintain detailed system documentation, including network diagrams, technical specifications, and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist in system monitoring and provide performance tuning recommendations.
• Implement security protocols and help identify and mitigate system vulnerabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Some exposure to systems engineering, network administration, or IT support.
• Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs).
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Experience with scripting or automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• A strong desire to learn and grow in a systems engineering role.
