Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect / hybrid in DE

A well-known client is Delaware (hybrid) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in designing and engineering systems and networks, with a proven ability to develop scalable, reliable, and secure infrastructure solutions. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our IT infrastructure strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture Design: Lead the design and architecture of infrastructure solutions, including cloud services, on-premises systems, and hybrid environments.
• Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and cross-functional teams, promoting best practices in infrastructure design and implementation.
• System Engineering: Design, deploy, and manage high-performance systems and network architectures that meet the demands of our business operations.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including product management, DevOps, and security teams, to align infrastructure strategies with organizational objectives.
• Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing infrastructure to enhance performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring uptime and availability.
• Security Compliance: Ensure infrastructure designs meet security best practices and compliance standards, actively participating in risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes, facilitating knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
• Innovation: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and techniques to improve infrastructure capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience in infrastructure architecture and engineering, with a focus on systems and network design.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Cisco CCNP/CCIE) are highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
